A leading privately owned specialist travel organisation is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Group Travel Consultant to join its team.
Location: Sydney CBD
Salary: $65k-$75k

Working with organisations, schools, parishes, and community groups across Australia, New Zealand, and the USA, the business delivers professionally coordinated travel experiences for thousands of travellers each year.

About the Role

As a Group Travel Consultant, you will play an integral role in coordinating travel arrangements from initial enquiry through to final departure documentation. You will work closely with travellers, group leaders, and internal teams to ensure every journey is planned and delivered with professionalism, accuracy, and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with travellers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable travel options
  • Develop, prepare, and cost detailed itineraries and travel plans
  • Process group travel bookings accurately and efficiently
  • Manage customer reservations using travel management and reservation systems
  • Prepare and distribute travel documentation within required timelines
  • Respond to traveller enquiries with a high level of service and professionalism
  • Coordinate multiple travel arrangements while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines

About You

You will be a highly organised and customer-focused travel professional with a passion for creating exceptional experiences.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a Travel Consultant preferred (training will be provided for the right candidate)
  • Previous group travel experience is highly regarded
  • Experience using web-based applications and reservation systems (Galileo/GDS experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of international destinations, particularly Europe, the Middle East, and key cultural and historical locations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High attention to detail and a results-focused approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and travel technology systems
