Operations Manager - Travel & Operations

Melbourne | Full-time | Hybrid (3 WFH / 2 Office)
$85,000 - $90,000 + Super + Bonus

A well-established and growing travel organisation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead travel operations across domestic and international programs. This senior role focuses on end-to-end travel operations management, team leadership, budgets and service delivery within a fast-paced travel environment.

Working closely with Product, Sales and Account teams, you will ensure travel operations are efficient, scalable and consistently deliver a high-quality customer experience.

The Opportunity

This role suits a confident travel operations leader who enjoys ownership, people management and operational problem-solving. You will play a key role in strengthening travel operations, improving systems and processes, and supporting the delivery of complex travel programs.

The Role

• Lead and manage day-to-day travel operations across domestic and international programs
• Oversee itinerary delivery, supplier fulfilment and in-trip travel operations support
• Line manage, train and develop a travel operations team
• Manage travel operations budgets, cost controls and supplier negotiations
• Partner with Product on travel operations pricing, budgets and delivery
• Resolve in-trip issues and manage operational changes
• Identify opportunities to improve travel operations efficiency, quality and profitability
• Maintain and improve travel operations systems, tools and processes
• Analyse customer feedback and contribute to operational reporting

About You

• Proven experience in travel operations management
• Strong leadership background within travel or operations-led environments
• Solid understanding of travel operations budgets, margins and cost control
• Experience managing multi-supplier travel operations
• Highly organised with excellent operations and time management skills
• Confident communicator across Travel, Operations, Product and Sales teams
• Solutions-focused and comfortable working to deadlines
