The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced travel professional who loves working with booked customers, enhancing their journey and maximising value through thoughtful, consultative upselling.
As a Travel Concierge Consultant, you'll look after clients after they've booked their core travel, providing exceptional service while recommending and arranging valuable add-ons such as hotels, car hire, insurance, upgrades and additional travel products.
This is not face-to-face consulting, it's a structured, professional, post-booking role combining customer service, relationship management and sales.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for managing and enhancing existing bookings, ensuring clients feel supported, informed and excited about their upcoming travel, while identifying opportunities to add value to their experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contacting customers prior to travel to recommend and book add-on products such as hotels, car hire, insurance, upgrades and tours
- Using consultative sales techniques to upsell and cross-sell where appropriate
- Managing booking changes, amendments and customer credit queries
- Communicating with suppliers to request, confirm and manage availability
- Issuing proposals, invoices and following up to conversion
- Providing proactive outbound communication to ensure clients are well prepared for travel
- Maintaining highly accurate administration and detailed file notes
- Resolving customer issues efficiently while maintaining high service standards
- Understanding profit margins and upsell targets while always acting in the customer's best interest
This role plays a key part in customer experience, repeat business and overall commercial performance
About You
You're a confident, organised travel professional who enjoys ownership of your work and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
You'll bring:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the travel industry, ideally travel agency
- Strong knowledge of airfares, travel products, hotels, insurance and car hire
- Experience using travel booking systems (GDS experience highly regarded)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A natural ability to build rapport and uncover customer needs
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- Confidence working autonomously while contributing to a wider team
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a sales edge
