About the client: Our client a well-established company within the travel industry which is currently expanding their operations. As they continue to grow, our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant who is passionate about the travel industry to join their finance team. This travel-focused role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their financial operations.

Role Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including reconciliations, managing receivables and payments, and overseeing credit control. This position requires a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, tracking, and follow-up on outstanding payments.
• Process and manage payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Oversee credit control processes to minimise risk and maintain healthy cash flow.
• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve accounting processes.

Core Competencies:

• Strong experience in reconciliations, accounts receivable, payments, and credit control.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyse financial data and generate accurate reports.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role ~2 years of experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
