The Sales Performance Manager will oversee the sales performance and commercial outcomes of an experienced team of approximately eight cruise consultants.

This is a hands-on senior sales and escalation role, rather than a traditional people-management or coaching position. The team is already highly experienced, so the successful candidate will provide strong commercial leadership, guidance and problem-solving support, particularly when complex bookings or customer situations arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of daily sales performance and support the team to consistently achieve revenue targets.
  • Review sales reports and performance data each morning, identifying trends, opportunities and areas requiring attention.
  • Lead a short daily team huddle to review performance, priorities and targets.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex customer issues, complaints, high-value bookings and challenging sales situations.
  • Use sound commercial judgement around pricing and discounts, with a strong focus on protecting margin wherever possible.
  • Support consultants with complex or bespoke cruise itineraries and package requirements.
  • Drive upselling and increased booking value, particularly through complete door-to-door packages incorporating cruises, flights, hotels and transfers.
  • Maintain a luxury, high-touch sales approach, focusing on the overall customer journey rather than simply selling the cruise product.
  • Step onto the phones when required to support the team or help achieve a target, while remaining primarily focused on the broader team's performance.
  • Identify practical opportunities to improve conversion, revenue and booking value through hands-on support and commercial decision-making.

Ideal Background

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of strong cruise sales experience and leadership, with a proven understanding of cruise products and the broader travel components that sit around them.

Experience should ideally include:

  • Cruise, Flights, hotels, transfers sales and packaging experience
  • Luxury travel and high-value customers
  • Strong upselling and value-add sales
  • Managing difficult customer situations and escalations
  • Commercial decision-making around pricing, discounts and margin
  • Working with sales performance data and daily reporting

Team Environment

The existing team consists of approximately eight experienced senior cruise consultants who require relatively little day-to-day coaching.

The successful candidate therefore needs to be a credible senior sales operator who can provide support when needed and step in confidently when a booking or customer situation becomes complex.

The focus is on commercial leadership, problem-solving, escalation management and maintaining strong sales performance, rather than formal performance management or intensive coaching.

What's on Offer

  • $115K base salary + Bonus +Super ($140K OTE + Super)
  • Fantastic Gold Coast location
  • Monday - Friday, no late nights or weekends
  • Opportunity to work with a high-end, bespoke luxury cruise product
  • Senior position within an experienced and established sales team
  • Immediate start available
