ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Working in a division within one of the most sought after online travel agencies, being a fares guru sitting in the operations team, supporting internal employees & direct customers in handling all things fares related.

Our clients takes pride in providing affordable fully inclusive holiday packages without sacrificing in quality. Due to expansion, this role has become available for a travel consultant with a GDS knowledge to join the Operations team working alongside of 6 others in the centrally located office.


DUTIES:

You ideally will have a natural knack for all things air related. LOVE working with different airlines / suppliers & would want to get more involved in the day to day operations of the air components to understand the foundations of the Ops team. Once the foundation is built (generally within 8 months), you will be given the opportunity (should you wish) to handle land & tour arrangements, working closely with DMCs and ground handlers.

Some of your day to day:

*Independently constructing customised itineraries via Sabre GDS and providing timely and effective quotes to customers (in conjunction with the chosen package that the customer has booked online / through the RES team)
*Airline Group Bookings (Group departures, tours, exclusive packages)
*Queue Management including schedule changes and reissues
*Completing ticket amendments, re-issues, exchanges and refunds (through consolidator)
*Customer Feedback resolution
*Regular communication with customers to satisfy flight requests or finalise bookings and responding to queries



KEY CRITERIA:

*An airfare expert, having worked in a retail agency or wholesale company booking air on a regular basis
*GDS Experience (Sabre preferable)
*In-depth knowledge of fare rules (or ability to find out the information required) and daily processes for ticketing, reissuing and booking management
*Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to provide outstanding customer service
*Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
*Customer Resolution


This is NOT a sales role & would require an experienced consultant with min 1 year travel experience keen to step away from the sales element.



SALARY:

A salary package on offer of upto $55k +super & an additional bonus based on team profit of 10% will be provided to the right candidate. Great growth opportunities within the company and sub brands.
