One of Australia's leading Cruise Lines is looking for a talented and experienced Chef to join their team at sea. If a fly-in/fly-out cooking role whilst seeing some of the country's most stunning scenery, then look no further. This highly sought-after Chef role involves 4.5 weeks on and 4.5 weeks off - so flexibility to commit to this will be essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Head Chef, as well as the Purser and Senior Management where needed, you will enjoy cooking for cruise guests and becoming part of a close-knit community of workers. You can expect to work around 10 hours per day when on-board. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of each day's menu
• Prepare/cook all meals for guests and staff
• Catering for all dietary requirements
• Working knowledge of OH&S/WH&S
• Work collaboratively in a team setting
• Cleaning and washing of all dishes
• Contributing to menu planning
• Ensuring minimum wastage
• Interaction with cruise guests
• Ensure highest quality of cooking

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Marine Training Provided if required.

• Commercial Cookery Qualification (min. Certificate III in Cooking)
• Food Handlers Certificate
• Marine Cook's Certificate (AMSA endorsed)
• CPR & First Aid Certificate
• Certificate of Safety Training - CoST (AMSA endorsed)
• AMSA medical certificate
• Australian Seafarers Service Book (ASSB)
• Marine Safety Identification Card (MSIC)
• Online component for Passenger Ship Training (Crowd Control and Crisis Management), certificate issued after completion of practical element

THE PACKAGE:

A competitive salary of $65,000 (plus super) will be available for the right candidate, in addition to flights from any major port, food and accommodation provided.
