One of Australia's leading hospitality groups is currently on the lookout for a Junior Sous Chef with steakhouse experience to join their busy Sydney restaurant. Conveniently located in the heart of the city centre, you will report to the Head Chef and guide a team of fellow passionate and driven chefs to provide guests with truly delicious and memorable dining experiences. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working alongside the Head Chef, you will have previous experience working in a steakhouse and excel at working in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment. Experience in full-service and mid to high-end restaurants is essential. Some of your day-to-day duties will include the management of operations, kitchen staff, budgets and other kitchen administration. On top of this, you will have a passion for leading, mentoring, and motivating a team to creating truly memorable and delicious dining experiences.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 2 years' Kitchen Management experience
• Cert III Commercial Cookery Qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working in a steakhouse essential
• Experience running a team of 8+ kitchen staff
• Able to effectively manage kitchen costs/budgets
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
• Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster
• Working knowledge of OH&S/WH&S

THE PACKAGE:

A competitive salary of $70,500 will be available for the right candidate, in addition to company discounts and generous incentives.
