A extremely rare opportunity has presented itself located near Pascoe Vale for an experienced travel consultant wanting to step away from consulting work but yet still remain in the travel industry!

This opportunity does not happen everyday where a client will accept a NON experienced Account Manager to step in from the ground up & develop with the support from the business, so if trying something new excites you, do not hesitate in apply as this will not last long.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role will require you to be competitive (within yourself) and self-motivated. You must have a good sales acumen (even though you will be more of a "farmer" as oppose to being a "hunter", there are still elements of sales which is a natural part of any Account Management position)

Some of your duties are but not limited to:

* Maintain relationships with existing clients and accounts existing and lapsed
* Efficiently responds to all enquiries made by clients via phone or email
* Establish and maintain regular contact with clients and accounts in order to introduce and promote a destination or tour in accordance with company goals, marketing initiatives and sales expectations
* Identify regional trends, competitive behaviours, promotional effectiveness, and market intelligence
* Nurture business accounts & work with them to "grow" their travel options & inclusions



You will not be doing any consulting work & will step away from the quoting side of the business.
Your sole focus is relationships & providing them with guidance, support, creating brand awareness and ultimately, building strength in sales, repeat & referral business and personal yet professional relationships


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Preferably a degree - however negotiable
MIN 3-4 years experience in the travel industry
Happy, energetic, driven personality trait
Self motivated and confident speaker
Enjoy working to build relationships (to manage accounts & see it grow)
Either Travel industry experience OR if coming from outside of travel - previous Account Executive, or retention specialist within call centre required



THE PACKAGE:

A generous salary for entry into Account Management is on offer of $55-$60k base + super & bonuses (which will be discussed further in the interview process) This is a lucrative earning role and also a great company to support career development.

Working close to home with parking onsite and only Mon-Fri during normal business hours.
