Pricing Analyst | Travel Industry

A much loved travel company are seeking a Pricing Analyst to join their successful team.
The pricing analyst is responsible for developing pricing architecture proposals and setup accordingly, as well as assisting product with coordinating promotions and tasks requested by head of department.

Job Description:

*Sets up different rates and promotions;
*Ensures quality of the loading processes, running constantly visibility web checks to make
sure rates are correctly displayed in all booking engines;
*Keeps high level of communication with the other departments (Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Administration) regarding the product;
*Liaises with Product and Head Office regarding rates and promotions;
*Sets the agreed rates and promotion
*Administers available rates and promotion
*Participate in the definition of the sales plan, monitor its achievement and recommend corrective actions;
*Monitor the market performance, identify its needs and constraints, and present a
calendar of promotional initiatives;
*Assess the groups' activities by analyzing and estimating its materialization in
coordination with the groups department

*Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis

Experience Required:

*Bachelors degree (BA) from four-year college or university required with focus in quantitative discipline preferred
*Two years related experience in business analysis, travel companies preferred
*Must be able to demonstrate understanding of revenue management concepts and tools
and demonstrate understanding of basic economics
*Previous experience in implementing system enhancements and decision making tools
preferred
*Demonstrated ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data, make decisions and recommendations and independently implement decisions is required
*Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
*Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data
*Ability to make strategic and tactical decisions
*Ability to structure logically quantitative analyses of complex issues
*Strong Excel, Power point and Hyperion and basic Colonial/AS400 is required

The package:

I am looking for an enthusiastic travel industry candidate with analytical and pricing experience.
A salary of $60-65k + super is available to the successful candidate and a great benefit package.
