My clients are seeking an experienced communications professional with over 7 years' experience to work within an integrated marketing department responsible for owning the creation and execution of an effective PR, content and event strategy that drives brand awareness among trade and consumer audiences and grows market share.


RESPONSIBILITIES

* Managing PR agency relationship ensuring regular communication and reporting
* Driving a proactive press release schedule promoting global and local news to
* Proactive pitching of on-brand story ideas to key top tier media
* Drafting all trade and consumer press releases and distributing to relevant media targets
* Nurturing media relationships through regular one on ones and networking
* Responding to ad-hoc media enquiries and requests
* Monitoring and reporting on all media coverage
* Coordinating the media famil program including negotiating multi-channel coverage, preparing briefing documents and coordinating all travel arrangements
* Managing all aspects of all filming on board
* Liaising with global offices on the sharing of content and creative assets
* Working closely with the marketing team
* Managing and mentoring the digital marketing coordinator on all aspects of community management including timely and accurate responses to comments and messages
* Identifying and negotiating brand partnership and sponsorship opportunities, ensuring all marketing opportunities are fully exploited across owned and paid channels
* Overseeing the coordination of all ship inspections and media events
* Overseeing the quality of customer service communications
* Acting as brand custodian to ensure brand language and creative guidelines are adhered to at all times
* Monitoring marketing and industry trends to enhance marketing activity


SKILLS REQUIRED

* A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as PR, journalism or communications
* Understanding of the travel industry
* Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
* Highly articulate with excellent command of English
* Strong conceptual thinker
* High attention to detail
* Motivated and uses initiative
* Strong organisational skills; able to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
* Demonstrated problem solving skills
* Ability to manage and deliver a budget
* Must enjoy a fast paced work environment and be able to work under pressure
* Experience in Microsoft Office
* Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud
